Full-time mom

I feel blessed to be a stay at home mother. Yes, we could use the income I'd bring if I chose to work full time. Yes, I'd have more friends, more fun money, and more stimulating work. I chose to be a full time mom instead. It blesses my family in ways I probably won't fully understand until the kids are grown. Being a full time mom gives me the opportunity to serve others by volunteering. It is so fun to be able to help at the school. Not only does it help the school, it helps me. I love helping the 2nd graders read. I love teaching the jr. high kids to cook. I love accompanying the h.s. choir. And, I hope I will love serving in the PFA. (it's a charter school, so I can go to one building for all the grades!) I love serving as a cub scout leader. It is wonderful to be able to see these kids learn and grow. I have had several people make comments about how I should be paid to do these things. Yes, we need the money, but that's not why I do it. I think, finally, all those years in Young Women and all those service projects finally sunk in! I love to give service to others and volunteer!
