The Aspie child went to the dr. today. She is doing well. We discussed the gluten free diet, I told him what I have observed and why it's working. The entire family is pretty much on it so it's not too hard right now. We are tweaking her meds a little bit to keep her from putting more holes in my walls to match the new ones she created the last 2 weeks. So, while we were in the room talking to her and discussing things about her, she began this little cough. Just a small, short, throat clearing cough. She did it yesterday and Dr. S asked me if it was a vocal tic because she was perfectly healthy that he could see. So back to today, Dr. M ask me if she's been sick. No. Any postnasal drip. No. Been sick a month ago? well, maybe 6 weeks. Dr. M was trying to decide if it was a tic or cough. She seems to do it more when she is excited, nervous, anxious, angry, irritated, etc. Mostly when she is angry, she turns into the hulk, and we don't like her when she's angry! So just one more thing in the joys of aspie parenting. But then, I have a family member who has at least 3 tics that he does constantly! He tics, cracks, and flips, but he's normal. Just ask him. :)
